| A section of the TransCaucasian Trail that goes through the mountains east of the northern part of the route, Zaqatala to Sheki will be incorporated into the route. Once more details are available on other developed sections, we'll look at if we can incorporate them and how. |
Provisional Route Details: AZERBAIJAN
- There's a possibility that I will incorporate part or all of the TransCaucasian Trail into the routes in Azerbaijan.
- Currently the TransCaucasian Trail is under development in Azerbaijan so I will be staying in contact with the teams on the ground before I make the final decision as to whether I include it or not as part of the route.
- Total Country Distance: 512 km - 320 miles
- Estimated Total Duration: 26 days
- Including anticipated rest days, visiting sites and talking to/interviewing people for the project.

- Balakan (border) - Sheki - Gabala - Ishmayilli - Shamakhi - Baku - Gobustan NP - Alat Port
